UX Researcher

Fully Remote

Our direct, F500 client is looking for a UX Researcher to join their organization in a fully remote long-term contract position. In this role, you ll lead and support usability studies, uncover user insights, and help shape user-centered improvements across products and platforms. You ll collaborate closely with product and development teams while working alongside experienced UX researchers.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

– – Assists with planning, recruiting, and scheduling user experience services for insurance agents, employees, and consumers.

– Works with business and development teams to gather requirements and define business goals; develops alternative approaches when necessary.

– Performs user experience studies with some guidance from senior researchers

– Communicates regularly with sponsors, stakeholders, and participants to ensure understanding of the desired outcomes and to address issues to keep initiatives on track.

– Collects, reports, and communicates on metrics to measure the usage of user experience services; works with others to drive communication and information sharing across the organization regarding results and current studies to increase understanding of services and value to the business.

– Uses acquired knowledge and guidance to recommend optimizations for user experience services to ensure successful outcomes and business value.

– Follows user experience standards, guidelines to align with best practices.

– Stays current with industry user experience standards and best practices to ensure the ability to offer the best method to match the business need

– Responsible for conducting generative research to uncover user needs and opportunities, and evaluative research to test and validate solutions for continuous improvement.

Required:

– Fundamental knowledge of software development concepts including familiarity with different methodologies, elements of software construction and roles involved in the lifecycle

– Ability to work in a team-oriented environment, including with teams from other business areas

– Analytical and problem-solving skills.

– Fundamental Listening, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to translate technical information into understandable terms

– Ability to research emerging user experience, software development and industry best practices

– Ability to guide customers through the User Centered Design process of implementing UX improvements

– Responsible for conducting generative research to uncover user needs and opportunities, and evaluative research to test and validate solutions for continuous improvement.

Plusses:

– Proficient knowledge of IT industry user experience approaches, standards and best practices.

– Proficient knowledge of various information technology functions, concepts and practices in a large IT environment, with the ability to align technical

– decisions to business need, and facilitate technical decision making based upon business value vs. cost.

– Ability to align local goals and direction with IT vision, strategy and priorities.

– Ability to set up and use user experience equipment and software tools (e.g., usability labs).
